Mindfulness Class

Mindfulness for Kids

Where calm meets curiosity

Children aren’t born stressed, they learn it. We help them unlearn it. Our programs turn meditation into an adventure: a space where imagination, confidence, and kindness grow stronger every day.

What we teach

  • How to focus without forcing it

  • How to calm big feelings through breath, movement, and awareness

  • How to feel powerful, peaceful, and proud all at once

How it feels
Classes are fun, active, and heart-opening. Kids laugh, move, visualize, and connect. They learn to see mindfulness not as “quiet time” but as a superpower that helps them feel good from the inside out.

Why it matters
Mindfulness builds emotional muscles: focus, empathy, resilience, and self-love. These are the life skills that shape confident, kind humans who know who they are and what they stand for.

🗓 12-Week Curriculum Breakdown

Mindfulness for Schools with Veronica Moya

Week Theme / Lesson Description
1 What Is Mindfulness? Introduction to mindfulness. In our first class we learn the basics of being mindful. Kids explore the idea that they can control their thoughts and choose how to feel.
2 Breath as a Superpower Learn how the breath is a built-in tool for calming the mind, resetting energy, and returning to the present moment. Includes breathing games and awareness exercises.
3 The Power of Thoughts Explore how thoughts shape reality. Children begin identifying unhelpful thoughts and replacing them with empowering ones. Includes “thought-watching” and guided imagination.
4 Feelings & Energy Awareness Kids learn that emotions are energy in motion. Activities help them name, feel, and release emotions in healthy ways, and recognize how their energy affects others.
5 Body Awareness & Sensory Check-Ins Develop awareness of the physical body through movement, body scans, and sensory mindfulness (sight, sound, touch, etc.). Emphasizes grounding and presence.
6 The Power of Intention Introduce intention-setting as a way to guide actions and decisions. Students practice choosing how they want to feel and what they want to experience.
7 Listening to Inner Wisdom Children learn how to “go inward” for answers through stillness and inner inquiry. Practices include heart-focused attention and intuitive decision-making games.
8 Using Your Imagination to Create Mindfulness meets manifestation. Kids explore visualization and positive mental rehearsal to create desired experiences.
9 Mindfulness in Everyday Life Teach how to bring mindfulness into real-world situations — from the classroom to the playground to home. Includes mindful walking, eating, and communicating.
10 Empathy & Compassion Students cultivate compassion for themselves and others. Practices include gratitude, loving-kindness meditations, and understanding different perspectives.
11 Celebrating Uniqueness Mindfulness as self-acceptance. Activities center on embracing individuality, building confidence, and honoring each child’s personal gifts.
12 Integration & Sharing A joyful review and reflection. Students share what they’ve learned, create personal “toolboxes,” and celebrate their growth through creative expression.

Sample of the class + Children's testimonials

I've taught this class in New York City. These are videos I made for schools that needed the program, but were unable to have me in person. These classes are designed to be played in the classroom. They are a very good rendering of what an actual class is like. If you scroll down, you will see a video of the kids' presentations at the end of the course + some photos from the classroom.

"Beautiful guided meditation by Veronica

We enjoyed a beautiful guided meditation by Veronica this morning outside, in the sun, with the Miami ocean breeze blowing. It was such a wonderful way to start a Saturday and Veronica was an excellent instructor! Highly recommend!"
